The Ob/Gyn specialists generally start the treatment with a physical examination, such as a pelvic examination, pap smear, or a breast examination. This procedure examines the uterus (womb) with a device called hysteroscope. Hysteroscopes is a narrow telescope having a camera and light at its end to produce images which help in diagnosis. Hysteroscopy procedure is considered as a minor surgery which generally does not need an overnight stay in the hospital. It only requires the patients to stay overnight if they are sensitive to anesthesia.
